Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your account, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access by requiring more than just a password to sign in.
To set up two-factor authentication to your Tourmie account:
- Go to Settings > User > Security > Two-factor authentication tab
Then, click on the Enable two-factor authentication button.
Here’s how to set it up:
Using a Mobile App:
- Download a cloud-based TOP app: We recommend using Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, available on most smartphones.
- Scan the QR Code: Open the chosen app and scan the image provided (if available). Alternatively, enter the text code displayed below the image (Do not share this code with anyone).
- Enter the Code: The authentication app will generate a unique code that changes every minute. Enter this code in the designated field on the screen.
Once you’ve entered the code, your 2FA setup will be complete.
Notes:
- Keep your chosen authentication app secure.
- Consider backing up your authentication codes in case you lose your phone.
- Some apps may offer alternative methods like fingerprint or facial recognition for added convenience.
